For damn sure. Too bad we've never argued about IT stuff

It took me so long because I fell asleep for 5 hours. No shit. It was glorious, but I got very little work done today.

I was just trying to be nice and give Doc some encouragement that leaving the bachelor life was a good thing! And all of a sudden I'm being accused of saying all you married guys fucked up by getting married.

I know I like to argue but I got blindsided by this one!

I think TK was pointing the finger at DJJ.

Yea I know I was just saying in general. Might shouldn't have quoted TK, that's my bad.

No big deal. I was indeed messing with DJJ.

No.

I doubt I will ever consider JUST age to be a factor in how much knowledge or wisdom I have. I've never been like that. Knowledge is something you earn and no matter how old you are you can't know the most about everything. Hell Assa just admitted that a guy 20+ years his junior knows more than him about certain subjects. My point all along. I think humans naturally feel entitled to something when they get older.

Then again you're older than me and will automatically write off what I just said and say "you'll understand one day" so it doesn't really matter what I think on the subject because you're older and already know more... of shit this is a vicious cycle!

I think TK just said, with more experience, you might have a different opinion. I didn't see anything that said you would understand. He specifically stated it was his thought, as in possibly not fact. Now who's assuming? Just sayin'.
Do you believe in the next 20 years you will gain no more experience? Do you honestly believe that, over the years of your life, you will never change your opinion? I highly doubt your opinions now match your opinions from when you were 5 years old but, I could be wrong.

Relax man I was just pushing your buttons. As soon as you said you've never even lived for a while on your own everything you posted was ignored. Einstein once said "The only source of knowledge is experience." and on this topic you have neither.

This old/young horse has been beaten to death...sure a 16 year old girl knows infinitely more about the video game called Final Fantasy than I do. (I know nothing)
Some day a 14 year old will try and convince olly of the same argument, (age does not=experience) same details etc.
It will happen but not for about 10-15 more years.
Olly, when it happens, say a prayer for TK, AT, and I because we will be in heaven by then...50/50.

It's going great. I'm guessing while this thing was going on earlier, I was walking around in the woods up behind the place. looking at all the new elk sign since the last walk.
Besides, had I been here online, I wouldn't have wanted to detract from your's and FF's private little internet moment. I realize how important the one on one thing is for you.

Olly, you're right that age doesn't necessarily equate to wisdom. However, a man can still be taught. A 19-year-old had to teach me a few things about smart-phones. What's really embarrassing is when a 3rd grader has to teach you how to do something when you're 50. It happens. Frequently these days.

Naw I am not writing off what you said because of your age. Of course we all have different skills and experiences. But what I am saying is that life experience its self is in fact earned, not learned.

Here we go.

I had a friend also named Tom who was pretty sharp. A smart ass and a drinker, you would have liked him. But alas he drowned at age 23. He was probably smarter than me....but not smart enough to stay out of the boat when he was pissy drunk. So he didn't earn his life experience. He never will.

If you examine my original statement, you will note I said IF you double your age. Tom never doubted he would hit 50 but lo and behold he checked out early.

He may have been smarter than me, but I have better life experience because I don't drink in the boat.

Your bat sign post made me smile and laugh. Well done.
