I have a pet mouse, Frank.

Frank is most comfortable when he knows he has an escape route. I can put sunflower seeds (his favorite) in a box or something with only one opening, and he's very nervous about going in to get them.

If I cut a couple holes in the side, or he can see through to the other end, knowing that there are multiple ways in and out, he's all over it.

That rat knew he was being funneled, and now that you've tipped your hand, I really doubt you are going to get him.

Because he wants that donut. He wants it bad. You can tell, by his stretched out little neck. He's having an inner debate with himself, and last night the angel won. But give it time. The devil on his other shoulder will speak its piece sooner or later. And when that happens...WHAM.

He wants to go into that box and get that big hunk of pastry so bad. Sooooooo bad. This was at 11:45, about a half hour after my last visit.

And then he came back from the same direction to eyeball it again at 5:07. Fat little fucker will get greedy before it's over with. I just have to wait him out. Think I may convert the conibear in the box into a pan set like quack showed. Maybe that will entice the bastard to take one more step in.

The fact you set up a camera is killing me.

He's going to get you in such a frothing rage that you cough up 2.25 for a boutique bakery fancy pants Yugoslavian custard filled bostock, then he's going to throw himself onto the trap and die with a smile on his face.

Pyrrhic victory.

Maybe a double ended box with trap on both sides?

Ifyou end up using the pan setup, put the bait an inch or 2 in front of the trap so he's standing on the pan working the bait. I'm just guessing that distance. For mink and marten the bait sits 3-4" from trap

I like this idea. I'm going to give this set up a couple more days- don't want too many changes at once. Then I think I'll cut the other end out of the box, and just put a chunk of donut in there for a couple nights, no traps at all. Then set 110s on both ends, with that pan set up you posted.

He will be mine.

All this wasted technology. Looks like your shop needs to be cleaned out anyway, just start removing stuff until you find the rat and kill it with a hammer or stomp it to death.

He's coming in from outside. I've found his access tunnel, but want to leave it alone, to lure him into the traps for my entertainment. Just knowing he's gone isn't enough- I need to know he's dead.

You gonna skin it out and tan it as a trophy?

If you know where he comes in why haven't you just stood a conibear there for him to walk through?

He keeps robbing them and flipping them. He even flipped one and covered it with dirt from his Stalag 13 tunnel.

I got to Ron's post and disappointed. You should burn the shop down and rape the rats girlfriend!!! If I missed this in a prior post of his I apologize. Haven't had a chance the last few days to catch up.

You could just turn the Bug loose in the shed and end this thing once and for all. At least she has a proven track record with rodent extermination.
