Got on the topic a little in the duck v geese thread. I'm sure it's been covered in passing but what is your favorite waterfowl to harvest?

Blue wings or Green wings hands down, every time.

I haven't got into enough of the species to have a favorite.

Mallards, and teal are fun.

I'd love to get some sprigs, wigeon, and woodies though.

I really don't have a favorite duck, more a way to hunt them, and that's ducks in a field. Any duck in a field is my favorite, which is mostly Mallards and Pintails.

The majority of the geese I kill are Canadas, and I do love them, but there is something about when Snows do it right, just circling in from the heavens. I've never killed a speck, but I feel like I'd enjoy the hell out of them too.

My favorite duck is the one that actually flies into range and dies when I shoot it!

Most of you fellas probably won't agree but when the bay is full of mile long rafts of broadbill, there is nothing like a layout hunt for them. When you are lying at the water's surface in the middle of the decoys and 300-400 acrobatic birds are trying to land right on top of you it's a blast. You can hear the wind in their feathers and their weaving, sideways slipsliding final approach is something to see. Tricky shooting but lots of fun.

We really got into them the last month of the season around here. More then I've seen in a long while.

Favorite duck is a bufflehead. I pass them up to shoot other species but they are my favorite.

Shooting redheads and blackheads is hard to beat.

Greenwing teal is the most fun to shoot of the puddle ducks.
