haha we should have gone out again after that, that morning was really weird. I can't remember if I told you this or not, but after you left around 1130 the hunting got really good, around 2-4pm they really started flying and my brother and I came 1 away from filling our two man limit.

Didn't hear that. I know your brother shot that mallard, then I had to leave to go set up elk camp. It was slow though that morning.

I took one of my friend's dad goose hunting with us. He didn't really understand the whole concept of letting them come into the decoys. I wasn't mad though, it was a lot of fun and we all shot our limits. I even got a band out of the whole deal. Woot woot!!!
"Guided" a guy on a javelina hunt at the duck club. Got out early and got into a nice game trail but the guy would not shut the fuck up. Wouldn't even whisper. I realized eventually he could care less if we saw a pig let alone harvest one. So I just smiled and nodded my head for three hours while he bent my ear.

What's the deal? It's just a band.

It's not really. I used to think they were the greatest thing ever but now I just like them so I can see where the bird was from and how old it was.

If you hunt geese long enough and travel far enough...eventually you're gonna run into this short little white haired bearded fucker that looks like a little santa claus with a leather hat who has FOUR lanyards so he can display all his bands and calls and shit. Hang onto your ass when you get there chapman. Just a band...rofl.
I've heard that it's incredibly stupid to fuck around with a crazy man's head.
Only shot 1 banded bird. It was opening weekend of my first season here in AZ. One of the 3 little blue wings I got that morning had a band. It was banded just a few hours from my home town back in Oregon where I hunted 10 years and never saw a banded bird.
I shot a banded mallard while sitting on the levee drinking coffee. My buddies went phuuuuuuccccccckkkkkk when I shot it sitting down and didn't even spill my cup. The kid we had with us outran the dog and retrieved it yeliing "It's banded!"... Got mucho stink-eye that day. The duck I've shown hanging on my wall so many times...that's it.

Saw it. Would have been a real trophy the next year.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

Likke to shoot late and clean up the mess when in a gang.
RonE, stay away from my right side. I'm the guy who will have a shell eject into your face. I like to put myself on the far right end in a duck blind or pit so I don't have to worry about that. If you want to shoot in a way that your shells eject at me...no big deal just don't miss the duck you're shooting at.
Am just like every other idiot you ever hunted with except I will let you shoot first even when I'm calling the shot. Someone has to shoot first and I'll wait a second or maybe two. After I hear one or maybe two pops...I'm like bam bam bam.
Here's a video of some people you know. Try and pick out the FAT guy.
Illinois north zone duck hunting opener
Perhaps just the video but it looks like you guys opened up a little too soon. As for empty shells hitting me, I don't seem to notice when I'm shooting but it pisses me off when my best hunting opens his O/U in my direction, that pos Browning will send two shells the entire length of the party blind.

It's the video, Ron. GoPro cameras seen to do that...Those ducks were straight away and inside of 20 yards. That was their third pass. There wasn't going to be a forth...

Buddy, Ya should of done better then that . 4 or 5 guns and 2 fell inside of 20. That's a bloody shame.
