Sure can. The selection isn't what it used to be, but you can get winchester, CCI and federal bricks just about anywhere.

Fuckin Canadians. Still practically impossible here. My brother's fiance is a manager at a sporting goods store and that's the only way we get them. She has actually started holding some bricks back for when people buy a new 22, they are ALLOWED to buy 1 brick for it.

I think eventually people will get tired of stockpiling more than they need just to say that they have it and the supply will catch up to demand. Hopefully. In my opinion, its the people willing to pay $50-80 per bring at the gun shows causing the hoarders to buy up the stock as soon as it hits the shelf.

Read the other day that most of the armories that had changed all their production over to .223/5.56 to meet demand after Sandy Hook were starting to go back to other calipers. If you want to buy .223/5.56 now is the time. I got another 500 the other day for $144, that's the price I was paying for a thousand pre Sandy Hook but I doubt they will get much cheaper the market has leveled out.

They're $22-$24 in stores.... when they have them. Problem is they dont last but 20 minutes, someone walks in and finds them and immediately texts buddies.... who text other buddies.
The double priced bricks I said were at the gun show are from people who know there is a guy out there that will pay so he checks Wal-Mart every morning at 0500, snags all he can and marks them up.

There is a pawn shop in town that I saw had about 8 bulk bricks priced at $100 per, nobody was lining up to buy them and I hope it stays that way.

They went out of stock right after I bought mine but looks like they might have more now. Not a huge fan of the steel coated casings but I buy two kinds of ammo. Some for shooting and some for hording.

See, this pisses me off. The same guys who are oh so loyal to the mom and pop shops fail to remember who it was that raised their prices.

You ever have a problem with the steel casings? My buddy told me to stay away from them but at that price it might be worth a try.

My AR does not have a problem with them at all. In fact it eats everything I give it and that's why I'm not scared to buy them or use them if SHTF. I've seen some AR's not like them though.

By not liking them I mean the polymer builds up in them and doesn't allow the casing to fully eject and then a stove pipe occurs. A friends in MI did this after a few mags of the steel.

I have 700 steel case rounds through my mini with no issue at all. I am going to try to stick with brass/nickle for the ar though. Just seems the locking lugs would scrape off the poly coating. I have put a few Tula through it but probably less than 100....
