It's a great speech. It would have been a little more inspirational if it hadn't been delivered by a guy that served in the "First Motion Picture Unit" and never left the continental US during his time of service.

Considering the current President and the previous democrat President weren't in any part of the military I would say to have served, in any capacity, trumps those that didn't.

Sadly, Reagan was the last Presidential candidate I voted for. Since then I've only voted against what I've felt the worst of our options.

No. Because what you were stating was that because he didn't serve overseas, that that somehow detracted from the speech. Implying that a person's words are judged through the filter of what they have done in their lives up to that point. So based on that, I felt that it was more than relevant to bring up the current occupant of the white house.

If you can find anything that Obama has even done, job performance related or otherwise, feel free to compare it to Reagan.

I don't even know how to respond to that. That's was completely out of "left" field. Comparing one of our greatest presidents to a serial killer. Good for you.

It was implied that he "scared" others into submission. You can control people through fear or respect. Apparently, according to your post, Reagan, Edie Amin, and Charles Manson used similar techniques. I don't think they create lasting powers of persuasion or are models worth emulating.

"Obama's performance" might imply he had done something worth noting. Oh, that's right, there was that little stint as community organizer, in shytown.

Reagan had a sense of mission before almost anything else and was reluctant to allow anyone to hold America or the American people hostage to their demands. Witness the Air Traffic Controllers in '79 or '80 (exact dates escape me, but during the time of my second wife).

And it is a valid point that somebody made, although unrelated- Manson didn't kill anybody, to the best of my knowledge. If getting weak-minded people to do what you say is a crime, then the large majority of politicians should be in jail as well.

I am willing to bet a fair amount of cash that within two years or so after leaving office, Obama and Holder are both indicted on some pretty serious charges. Mark my words.

I often wondered why he was the most villified person on earth, myself. Sure, like you say he orchestrated some pretty terrible things, but there are plenty of serial killers out there who actually wielded a weapon, acted alone, and did far more gruesome acts. Look at John Wayne Gacy. I guess it had to do with his targets. I saw a show once where they showed the artwork he does while incarcerated (plenty of time on his hands  ) Pretty freakin' wild stuff that I guess everyone, including the CO's, try to smuggle out of the prison to sell!

Consider them marked, WFM! If so, Obama at least would just get a presidential pardon. You get on that level and you don't pay for your crimes.
