No need for one if all I'm doing is dark timber elk hunting with it. I like Vortex and think they are far superior to any of the Leupold hunting scopes; so do many BR shooters I have talked to. Many of the ones at my range are shit canning Leupold and going to Vortex because it's the same quality of a $1500 Leupold at $750 and is more user friendly.

i have never seen one mounted on a real BR rifle.what happened,didnt have the scratch for a gold ring? get yourself a paper route and save up some cash

Really? A lot of the BR shooters here have been switching over. I just watched a guy and his brother the other day shooting at 1000 yards. Both had Vortexs. The older one shooting a 6 Dasher put 10 under 5". The other one put 10 in under 6" at 1000 with a straight 6 BR. Not too bad I would think for a light gun.

yes really. what do you call a light gun? did you weigh it?
6 dasher and 6 br are great for 1k shooting but i wont believe you about any group/or score unless i see it for myself. we all learned to take only part of what you say as truth....sorry kid

Dan does this guy have a huge dairy? or does he sell forage and or custom chopping? thats a large number of choppers. with the money he has sitting there i cant believe he dont have a few big machine sheds for them to sit in. i hate leaving anything outside. but it would take a large amount of space to get them inside. woow

They do custom harvesting for a bunch of large dairies out in California. They're typically running what - 9-10 months a year? And covering lots of ground, they basically only come back to the yard for those down months to get rebuilt.

If I'm remembering correctly, they put up something like 2.5-3 million tons of silage/haylage a year.

At the Missoula range, they have a special 11 pound class that is special to that particular club. The Williams brothers are some very good shooters. They also do full time custom rifle building. I don't doubt them one bit. They are shooting impressive scores and groups with 11 pound guns, one being a dasher and one being a straight 6BR launching Berger Hybrids. Bet you wouldn't believe that just two days ago I shot a 3-shot group that measured 0.330" from edge to edge with my POS TC 6.5-284 at 100 yards. Probably also wouldn't believe that my $300 hunting rifle in .25-06 put 3 at just about an inch at 300. You probably also don't believe that I took my .225 out the other day to 600 yards and was hitting a 6" steel plate shot after shot with Speer 52 gr. Target Match bullets. You know because a POS old cartridge on a POS Remington 788 action like that isn't capable of the task. So unless you can prove that you are a competitive BR shooter and that you win every last fucking match, why should I listen to you?

We're chasing tuna later this week. Gonna put together a couple more shark trips later this month. It is a blast when the big tigers or makos show up....they ain't afraid of nothing and charge baits like they own them.

first off you mouthy little cunt, who has it been for months asking me about fclass and Benchrest shooting????i even told you to go with a 6br or dasher many of you have been using them chambering for a long time in long ranger BR and for the record the IBS record for 1000yd group is help by a guy from your state. and since you know so fucking much about this you are stepping on your own dick when you say stupid shit about a special 11 pound class kid there is nothing special about a 11 pound class..LIGHT VARMINT RIFLE is 10 and a half pounds and under..HEAVY VARMINT RIFLE is 13.5 pounds and under. thats the fucking rules. i tried helping you out in pms and you didnt know shit then and you still dont.... in your thread about reloading i offered more advise but you can go pound sound for now... you will never shoot as good as you claim, PERIOD you have shit equipment and bad technique....have a nice life with your fucking caldwell front rest and shit bags...you are just like TomKat and will be envious of the guys that get it done for real
