If you hook a great white while shark fishing.......you have no control over what kind of shark takes your bait. You could fight him for a while if your tackle is sturdy enough before cutting or breaking him off. It is however illegal to kill or land them.
I'd toss a bait to one just for the hell of it, if the opportunity presented itself.
