New To Atchafalaya!!

My name is Tyler Davis, I live in Lake Charles and I've always hunted lacassine and Sabine wmas, but I've recently started working in lafayette and I want to hunt the Atchafalaya but I have no idea where to start, if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Maybe a boat launch address and coordinates where to start, not trying to take someone's spot just have no clue where to start! Thanks in advance

Can you give me the coordinates to the party blind?

I could tell you where to look and you can see the party blind on Google Maps (satellite).

Just pull up 2100 HW 161 Aransas Pass and look to the north. zoom in until you can see the old pipeline ditch. on the east end of the ditch, just before the end and on the north side, you will see the party blind. Probably 3-4 miles north of 2100.

On the other hand Flint, if you can tell me how to make a screen shot of Google Maps, I will post the picture.

at the top of the picture (just below California Hole) there is an old pipeline ditch that goes from the big channel off to the right. The party blind is a little further to the east and north of the ditch.

How did you make that picture?

In the bottom quarter of the picture, there is a "S" shaped channel with a straight channel entering it on the left side. Just below that on the right side of the S shaped channel you can see a straight channel heading east. Faint but easily seen. That is the old pipeline channel that goes next to the party blind.

The party blind is in public water and access by other that a mud boat or air boat is iffy. You are welcome to hunt the blind, first come first served. If there is only a few of us and only a few of you and you have some beer, you would be more than welcome to share the blind.
