My poor "Spidey-man"

Postby quackhead » Tue Jul 15, 2014 9:52 pm

My boy got attacked by a German Shepard today. It happened in oregon so it was very difficult for me since I couldn't be there for him. He ended up with over 120 stitches. I'm just blessed that he is alive because under a little different circumanstances, he would not have been.

Once the drugs wear off, he'll probably be upset that he doesn't get to be in the rodeo Thursday. We're gonna let him get dressed up in his gear but, he won't be able to ride this season.
Thank God his Mom was close by and stopped it. There are marks on his neck where the dog tried to grab him by the throat.
As for the dog, it was in quarantine at the pound before I even got to the emergency room to be with him.
Good sign, he was negotiating with the surgeon before they started. They had given him a Spiderman sticker and he told them they had to give one to Mom and Grandma too. The fur buyers are gonna get hell from this boy when he gets older. He's gonna get top dollar for all his furs.

I just want to add what a great bunch of guys we have here and thanks to all of you for the encouraging texts today and tonight. I'm proud to have you all as friends and, you all have a place in my blind or boat any day, season or not.

Prayers sent for a speedy recovery of our Spidey-Man, and very glad that it wasn't worse, considering where the dog bit him.
