Just got tricked into spending $200 to get $25 off at Cabelas. I justify it because I picked up a few things I need and had enough points built up to keep my out-of-pocket under $100. I can also justify it because I essentially got a "free box of ammo" and that my order didn't actually add up to $200, but I still got the $25 off.

On a side note, is anyone able to find .243 ammo anywhere? I can find everything else in mass quantities but have struck out on .243

Don't be its got a little water damage in the front. Gonna have to repair. Shouldn't be too hard just time consuming.

For sixty seven cents a pound? Not bad at all.

R. Chapman wrote:Early season is where you tend to get most of the ducks. Of course, I hunt the first 2-3 weeks of duck season, then the general hunting season comes around when I actually have to stop fucking around with ducks for a month and a half and go get meat for the year. Now it's december, shit is frozen up in most places and ducks are getting scarce so that means trying to find geese.

Any other excuses you wanna throw out while you're at it?
I shot more than 30 ducks last year if that makes you happy pecker head.

I couldn't give two shits how many birds you kill (I don't believe you, for what it's worth), but a kid who kills 30 birds a year probably doesn't have anything to add amongst a group of men that likely average over 100 birds a year between them. That's like me telling Dan how to kill divers because I shot a Can on the NCH last year.

I will admit that I'm not a hardcore water fowler. But like Jarbo saying to fill up the freezer with goose meat. I couldn't shoot enough geese in 3 years to equal 700 pounds of meat. Sorry but it ain't happening.
Considering I went out for a total of only 6 days before big game season started, then after that maybe a total of 5-6 days. So I hunting at most 12 days of a duck season that last roughly two and a half months. Now I guess it's time for me to GTFO for not being a die hard water fowler.

I would say that I put around 500 lbs of meat in my freezer bird hunting each year. I like deer meat, but every time I go to kill one I'm pissed, cause that is time I could have chased birds. I kill more waterfowl than anything, but upland hunting is my favorite. Antelope is the best, like Paw said, must kill more of them.
