Armslist?

Postby assateague » Wed Aug 13, 2014 3:11 pm

Don't know how I missed it, but I just stumbled across the site. Is it really what it appears to be, a person to person type classified for guns and such? All the stuff I've looked at so far isn't auction or dealer stuff, just someone with a gun to sell, and a "contact the seller" button, where you input your email and stuff. Is this correct? Any of you guys ever use it?

Armslist?

Postby gila-river » Wed Aug 13, 2014 3:14 pm

I have made several deals on Armslist. A lot of ammo, a barrel, 2 long guns and 1 handgun. I always get a feel for who I'm dealing with first, just like if I'm buying off craigslist. I love it. Never had an issue.

I bought my beretta on there, I like being able to get ahold of seller and haggle a little.

Ok, so it really is just a person to person thing. I thought I was missing something. Toying with the idea of buying a crossbow, just because.

I bought my beretta from a guy in CO, he had it priced way over, I schooled him on what it was worth and talked him down to $500. Pretty much just like craigslist. Haggle away, worst thing they can say is no. I know you can haggle!

I found a shotgun on there last year that I was interested in, and the guy had his cell number posted so I texted a question,...
He answered...
I texted another,...
And he replied,..."Forget it, this is too much hassle"...

I'm ready to buy this crossbow straight out no haggle, but wasn't sure if I was going to get sucked into some bullshit "register here for great deals" type thing as soon as I send a message.

That's where I just bought that press from. Guy said he didn't want to ship but was dirt cheap so I threw him cash and he changed his mind. Definitely person to person with no middle man.

Why haven't I heard of this before? I just inquired about a local A5. Thanks Assa!

I've had an Armslist account for a year or so - I've yet to buy a gun and have tried to sell a few with no success.

Same here. I was amazed and astounded that it exists, and that I'd never heard of it before. Waiting to hear back about that crossbow. Don't thank me, though, thank the H&R Excel thread. I was curious to see what they were selling for, and when I typed in "H R Excel for sale", Armslist was one of the results. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I was.

I've made 1 purchase and 1 trade off there. Went flawless. After you sign up if someone flags something thinking it's a scam you will get an e-mail on it too. It's been good to me

That's ugly as fuck
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

Try "river of guns" as well. Enter in what you are looking for and it's supposed to show you every listing on any site on the interwebs.

Haha! Hell no don't know shit. Have been debating the last couple years on ditching my bow for one. Can only shoot does during bow season in my county. Want to get that meat a little easier but can bring myself to ditch the bow yet.

I don't even know that I would use it much. They're loud as hell, and don't have any further range, really.

But I want one.

I wish I had when they opened up archery season to crossbows couple years ago. Just enjoy shooting the bow and the challenge

What's the theory behind the "does only archery season"?

I'd be glad if you could tell me  Supposibly our county doe population is poor although our farm has plenty. Many years ago, long before me, there was no deer and Texas parks and wildlife transplanted a herd out here and they took hold. Give some people a chance with arrows but not many will be killed.

This. Although I've heard the tour of their plant in Florida is pretty fucking cool. Penetrator is a badass name though. Crossbows are fun as fuck to shoot, and STUPID accurate, I definitely recommend getting one!

Assa, if you don't know yet, check out palmetto state armory as well. They routinely have great deals on all sorts of stuff.

I have had a few dealings on armslist, mostly selling and had great experiences.
