Sons first

Me and my son went diver duck huntin down in Panama City Fl this morning, had a good hunt, saw some ducks, missed some ducks and he killed his first duck, it was a Bufflehead drake.

Get involved in your area's DU, Delta and retriever club chapters right now, and make yourself so useful that folks will appreciate your being around and mentor you come hunting season. (Never mind if don't have a dog, retriever clubs are always happy to see hands ready and willing to work at their events. Becoming active in a HRC chapter didn't only open more gates than I could ever take advantage of but led me to a great first dog and helped bring him on.)
