Way back in the '80s there was a fellow who rented what we called the "pump blind" but also buried a neat little custom aluminum two man blind maybe 150yds from it. Dressed our blind about like most do and scattered an assortment of speck and snow shells around it. Did a much better job of hiding his and parked a trailer with a dozen speck stuffers by the pump. On hunt mornings, he and his buddy carried them afield hanging on a pole between them. Just rented the spot one season before moving on to something closer to his home in LC that offered ducks, too, because the drive and setup were too much trouble for such quick hunts.
Only place I've hunted stuffers was the Eastern Shore, where the fellow we hunted with would offset the staleness of big standing spreads with either they or the first Big Foots I'd seen carried in and out on hunt days "to show the geese we aren't there". Beside Scotch Guarding, they'd dry damp stuffers with hair dryers and hang them from rafters on wire to keep the mice from eating them.
