USPS just blew my mind. I took fluid dynamics in college and was just informed that honey is not a liquid by a postal worker.
"Anything hazardous or liquid in the box?"
YES.
Long awkward pause.
"OK whats in the box?"
Honey.
Clerk..."oh that's not liquid"..."we mean stuff like perfume or water".
Me "I don't understand".
"Is mayonnaise a liquid?" .
Ppl (laughing)

Remember....these people handle our election..

OGBLACKCLOUD is getting a box if the USPS can deliver.

If you want a correct answer find a librarian.
Never trust anyone that looks like this guy.

What if my librarian looks like that?

Ricky Spanish wrote:Remember....these people handle our election..

I've had more trouble with mail over the last 2 years than I've had in my entire life.

I had two important pieces just vanish. I sent a $650 check. Thankfully to someone understanding. About 2 weeks after he expected it, I got a gentle reminder that I still needed to pay. :o :o :o Also, I mailed in my tax forms to the IRS. A few weeks ago, I thought "hey wait a minute, I still haven't got my refund." Checked the status. Logged on to my account. Never received. WTF is going on.

It's kind of funny when you get a Christmas card from your Aunt mailed in December and it arrives in March, which also happend this year. It's not when checks and such disappear. Where are they?

And your comment about elections is spot on.

A couple years ago the hunting and fishing club I'm on the board. We went to all mail in dues. Prior years about 1/3rd or so mailed theirs in. There's no other plausible explanation, but someone at the local post office had a problem with our club. Well over 100 of the dues sent in vanished. The suburbs has grown up around our club, so some of the neighbors that move in don't like that we still hunt. So there is occasional friction and bogus calls to the police. I'm sure that explains 100+ letters to our club mailed locally disappearing. We have a P.O. Box so the letters aren't delivered but held in the post office.

What a total mess that made. Originally I assumed they were put in a box and misplaced, but they never appeared. They were taken and burned by an aggrieved neighbor or anti-hunter. Either way, this is no way to have faith in an election. I can assure you that some zealot will say "nothing but right-wing crazies here" and shitcan all the ballots they can get away with. They shitcanned over 100 of our dues. Now we complained, filed an investigation, ... So far it seems that has at least stopped them from doing it again, but it could happen at any time.

This is fun. I hope the mail gets to Minnesota.
Sweet stuff inside.

As a kid we got in big circles and chatted or rapped.
A topic would last two or maybe three comments then go sideways and turn into talking about a movie scene then two comments later it's another topic.
Try...
Try and keep a thread on topic.
AhahahHah it drives the haters nuts.
We are humans and it's random.
We get krunk up.in here.

It's a NIPPLE REMOVER doc.

Been dealing with "old dog young dog" stuff a lot.
Upon reflecting I sort of wish I'd never used Milo for upland hunting. He's old and stove up. Arthritis bad in one leg.
So I had to get a replacement. The young horny dog and the old worn out one is not exactly fun. Ideally my crystal ball would have seen that limp back in 2016 or 17 and paid attention closer.

Moral?
Try and replace Fido at around age 6.

You end up well off then. I thought Milo was my last retriever.
I'm not the only one who has made the mistake.
If you want a happy transition do it when your current hound is 6. It worked great when I did it that way. The old dog trains the pup.

Ouch. Got stung twice.
They're starting to figure out that the nectar flow is over.
They get more aggressive about defending that hunny.
7 more full boxes and that's just off two hives.
By fall I'll have enough loot to go hunt with Yankeegray and Silas in Texas?

Subwoofer: " I can handle any track you throw at me"
Lil jon: "hold my krunk juice".

You want to scare the hell out of your competition....roll up with "BME Click" playing loud when you lauch your boat.
That song makes me want to kill stuff.
Try it.

Very unique song. It has a guitar?
You barely notice it but it is there the entire song and is powerful.
Legend has it that the song is pretty much guaranteed to start a club-destroying riot. It will piss you off by design.

How do I reject it nicely?

I don't know. Got invited so I'll find out eventually. Probably southern Illinoiz. Don't care. Have retriever will travel.
Each season starts like this with hints of hunts that may or may not get canceled. Life happens.
I've had guys cancel over typical stuff like illness in family.
Don't get too worked up over it. Always have 6 plans.

Last year I hunted the hotel hole first split with some success. Later on I stuck my nose into the big boy boat launch. They all said that they were wondering when I'd finally give up the north woods.
Was welcomed with open arms to my surprise.
This year I'm exploring "the crossroads" .
It's big.

Ok, I 'd just go a good sirloin. It's really good.

Both equally funny.

Been pulling honey until I'm sore.
Moving the stuff around is heavy.
I'm a lightweight.
My crop is not exactly massive this year.
Got used to pulling 50 or more supers. 4-6 per production hive was nice. I usually run lots of hives but only some are big and strong enough to make a crop.
This year I have around 30 and not all got filled.
Fixing to spin some as soon as it heats up in the truck.
Next week we will pull everything off and treat for them damned varroa destructor (mites).
That's something I never ever thought I'd be doing.
Spraying chemicals into hives.

If you are interested in why bees are in peril watch this video on the varroa mites.
Warning: it's a little too real.
https://youtu.be/6Y2t81Y8I2Q

Another even worse pest global trade has introduced is called small hive beetles. (SHB)

The varroa came from Asia.
SHB came from south America on fruit
