Rogers Truckload Sale

Postby PorkChop » Fri Jul 22, 2022 5:33 pm

Went to the website yesterday and saw their flyer was out for the truckload sale. It always cracks me up. Couple examples. On June 6th I bought four boxes of Avian X full body mallards. $119 per box. Truckload sale has them as $159 a box. Avian X early-season mallards were $69 I believe for six and the truckload sale has them at $114 per six. I guess these days when Rogers has a sale it means they’re going to jack the prices up. Full disclaimer I love Rogers but the last year or two their pricing changes have really had me scratching my head. You almost have to check things you are interested in every day.

After a few group hunts on public I decided to let them shoot other people's decoys. One of my fully flocked Higdon battleships is full of holes.

That’s nice but that has zero to do with this thread.

Wow. Price difference may also be attributed to rising costs for this year’s products vs last year’s. As with everything else, inputs are way up.

Yea that's the only thing I could figure, this year's product vs leftovers from last season that have been available over the offseason.

Glad you made the mentions here though, good to know (and for us to watch out for).

It HAS to really suck knowing that your business is selling me new decoys and stuff I don't need.and your family depends on it.
This season I probably won't buy a damn thing duck..sale or not.
Sorry Rogers..prepare to downsize your staff and inventory.

I am grateful that "buying more stuff" is over for me. With the exception of waders, which I usually buy from Rogers, I should be good to go for the rest of my life. But I do like Rogers though.........

Last summer I got a little weird. ( a little?)
Ammo shortage?
It was me.
For the summer I bought every box of steel I saw in the right flavor. I'm good for at least 6 years on ammo.

July is generally the cut off off point for good deals. Once the new products hit the shelf and the surplus from the proceeding year are gone any sale announcement is just a way to get your attention.
