Pre Season

I have tried fruitlessly to connect with people that hunt and don't just run off afterwards because their female is in heat.
You all sound like what I searched for and finally just gave up.
The last two posts were extremely interesting and real. Thanks. Catching fish with duck guts. Cool.

Put me in mind of a friend's dad's coonass motion rig. Hunted a slough loaded with choupique and put a couple of his decoys on droppers to a trot line he'd bait with duck guts for them. Hooked choupique moved the decoys to help during his hunts, after which he'd toss them in a wash tub to sell at a country store down the way and rebait with guts from the morning's kill. Never got to meet him but wish I had.

Now there's and Idea! Only for us it would be with crabs and garfish.

I can't take pictures of framed pictures without glare galore.
How did you do it? Change angles til you found one without glare? No glass?

Grey ducks can be soooo fickle. One day they decoy great next day won't come in for anything. Last season the club killed 270 Gadwall, second behind teal - 284

Reminds me of that ad.
Kid had 6 signed numbered prints and insisted that they're paintings
The red flags in the ad were so obvious but I nearly jumped.

The weather people can't get the weather correct for tomorrow much less 4 or 5 months out - but I hope they are right on this one

Time for me to retire then. Last winter was crap. Didn’t get a ton of snow initially but between the snow we did get and the wind it was a brutal winter. Of course then Easter week we got close to 40 inches. But that reward of a hard winter is ducklings are now everywhere.

I don't think I could handle that kind of cold.

Which is why ND hasn't been destroyed by overpopulation, yet...

PC, I've seen you mention Baldwin somewhere. Don't suppose there's any chance you new Jim Marti or of his Burnt Creek setters?

Hmmm I guess I’m not sure why I would’ve mentioned that town as it’s pretty close to Bismarck. I am a couple hours north of there. Not doubting you though. With all the gas at work my memory is definitely not what it used to be! But I’ve never heard of Jim or his setters.

You may have said Bismark, and I just had Baldwin on my mind. Much more likely me than thee.

My art is all prints.
Luckily.
If a honeybee took a crap on a Terry Redlin painting that'd be no good.
