Naw, this forum was created for folks who didn't like the moderation Duck Hunting Chat had under its creator and wanted to cut up and cuss more. But most of that bunch eventually felt pinched by the much looser moderation here, too, and moved to FB, or somewhere, to talk about wearing the latest style of butt plugs to garage beer busts. Not kidding.

Was never a really popular site other than with those of us using it to maintain hunting logs. For which we are most grateful to Ollie, its owner, and Duck Engr, who now keeps it going.

im looking foward to reading the hunting logs this coming year the past ones are one of the reasons what caught my attention to join and to read how the hunting is in all the flyways and how different ways to chase fowl is done.

Would you believe it if I told you that Wyoming was the first government to allow women to vote?
You have to listen to Paul Harvey to confirm it but it's true.

Every once in a while YT puts a "rest of the story" video in my feed.
Today was it.

Help!?
I have a gopro hero 8. It's black.
If I record a long enough video it breaks it up into 11:47 pieces. I'm not sure why.
Might be the phone.
To upload is tedious.
I remove the SD card from gopro.
Put it into the phone and then I can upload the pieces.
Any video experts here?
I tried getting everyday limits to share how he edits but the guy won't talk.
I have a feeling that the answer is "buy an expensive laptop that is set up for editing video in the box".
I'm pushing this phone to its limits.

It's 85 with like 95% humidity it's pretty rotten outside.
I was sweating pulling the grill out of the garage and it's down hill. had to bend over to pick up the cord. That's enuff slow down. I'm running low on the jet fuel. G6

Slaving over a hot grill all day is what I'll call it.

This is cool. He parks that huge truck and blocks a ton of bees from returning. When he moves the truck all them goofed up bees find their hives and pour in.
I tend to not "cockblock" a bee hive or try not to.
[

Adding thirds means he's got 3 deep boxes for supers.
That is about 270+ pounds of honey when full.
That guy is set up on canola.

This thing is a "bee escape". They put it on a day ahead. It forces all the bees down below it so they can pull honey with hardly any bees.

It has little cones. One-way.
Down. Bees go down at night to keep the baby bees warm.

This is sad. His bee truck, bobcat, and about 600 supers were stolen. That Pile is about 120 supers.
They're empty.
Value?
120 x $60 roughly

Different guy it's not Ian Steppler that got robbed.

Just got a six gallon honey order.
This Phillipino lady is one heck of a honey eater.
She buys every 6 months.
A gallon a month? Yup.
There's a guy who eats a half gallon every month himself. He takes it on vacation.
Its not sugar. He can't eat sugar.

There was some chatter about chickens, pecking order, and peepers. I've still got 10 chickens coexisting in the big coop. They sorted it out themselves.

Sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug.
Went to pull honey.
Opened the shed up and gee that's weird...these rocks n stuff moved. Huh?
So I kicked them back where they were.
Went in and there's a big hole where two lawn mowers WERE.
Damn I've got two acres to mow and no mowers.
So fucked I am.
They broke a door to get in. Luckily they couldn't figure out how to get my boat out.

Ugh.
My family owns several homes.
The biggest one is here in town and very old.
1800s.
Has a 2 acre yard where I keep my bees.
There's a big shed.
The door locks...lol.
Had them security hook-latches you have to be inside to open. You can defeat that easy and someone did.
I'll post the video of me screwing the door shut.
Wish I'd thought of that before.
Gee I guess I'm lucky.
No more mowing.

Yeah. An RZ5424.
The other was a JD310? and super old.
Had a dumping cart. 5 cubic feet.

Replacement cost.
Oh God...over $6k with tax.
1000 dollar deductible.

My mom is loaded and it's no big deal but it stinks.
I screwed the doors shut with deck screws.
Resized_20220810_154641.jpeg

At least I've got decoys and a boat with an engine on it.

The sick part is if I find the mower and shitstomp the perps a judge will just let them go free. No bail.
What a world. I think I'll just go steal me a new mower.

Damn crackheads. Your mowers are probably at the nearest pawn shop.

It's ironic. To get them mowers out they had to get a sliding door open that barely works. They only got it halfway open and partly closed. The rails are falling off
They had to move stacks of bee hives and get this...they put them back. Crazy but true.

Suddenly I'm a mower buyer.
Clueless? Yeah.
This is kind of what got stolen.
Had a Briggs 24 horse engine this one has a Kohler. The one we lost is 8 years old. Hard to believe my dads been dead that long.
Screenshot_20220810-160704_Chrome.jpg

42 inch riding mower.
This will do.
The other was very old and had some add ons for a handicapped driver.
Screenshot_20220810-161029_Chrome.jpg

The wagon is cheap to replace. $150 maybe

It'll be 5 years this fall that my mom and dad passed 8 days apart  It doesn't seem that long ago, but it sure does go fast.

Get this bad ass machine. Cutting 2 acres once a week about 8 months a year, on year 3 now. Powerful and tough as nails. About $5500.
