In 2004 when I started going to South Dakota there were sunflowers and wheat East River, no such thing anymore it's all corn or beans... I do find some small grains West River, and pork chop talks about small grains in North Dakota, so it's out there but I just don't think it's in the numbers that they used to be...
The town that I stay in has two new drain tile companies that I noticed this year... All the little places in the middle of the fields that mama duck raises her babies in them cattails are slowly being drained...
I know that probably reads like a bunch of ramblings, and it is, but hopefully you get my drift... It's more than likely as good as it's going to get, go hunting, it's the good old days right now...
