Ruddy ducks. Not a lot, but a few here and there, which is extremely odd for this area. Lots of teal, albeit still mostly blue-winged, lots of pintails and spoons, a few grays, scads of the omnipresent squealers and big bunches of "golden-headed mallards" and some of the old-fashioned green-headed version, too. Going to be a challenging first 15 days for hunters and mottleds alike.
