North south east or west, you’ll take em! Maybe some Christmas calendar migrators.5 stand wrote:Rick wrote:reverse migration. We might as well pack it up down here.
After scouting yesterday, I'm going to cautiously say we have some new birds?
But wouldn't have a clue which direction they came from...
Trigger and I are going to give them a go in the morning, we'll see how these so-called new birds act?
The birds that I've been killing are within 15 minutes after legal shooting time, (I call it shooting them in the dark) hence the brown... Hunted till 11:00 yesterday thinking I would get that last one (wrong)... Scouted afterwards and it made for a long day... But I do have birds to play with and that's a good thing, I just don't know how to kill them...

Seasoned move there. Years ago I was hunting with Olly down on the coast. 20 degrees and a north wind whipping that had the delta waters white capping. I had the feeling I should’ve pulled the plug but I didn’t have a reverse gear then. We came around out from the sheltered launch area and the water was so low that I was hitting bottom in places I never fathomed I would. About a half mile into our journey prop hit a sand bar and killed the engine right as we took a breaker over the bow, then another. Thankfully, the motor cranked back up, I flipped on the bilge, and we headed back to the ramp. I was back in bed before sunrise. Lesson learned.5 stand wrote:I got up this morning made coffee and fed the dogs, looked at the weather like I always do and the wind was really strong and wrong, and I have a Long boat Ride to this spot... So I pulled the plug on today's hunt, Trigger and I will try them in the morning...
