What kind of knives are you selling? I've seen you mention them but haven't had time to check. I am a sucker for a good knife. I primarily carry a Case stockman for my daily knife and a Benchmade Automatic on duty. I have a Columbia CKRT KISS that I conceal in my body armor on duty as well. I use a Buck special for cleaning deer and a Mooremaker for deer and ducks. I've been meaning to get the Buck waterfowl knife that Chris was advertising but haven't had a chance to get one ordered.

Here is a link to my ad in the hunting gear page http://www.waterfowlforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=172, just thought I'd give it a little bump in the Blind. I actually carry one every day so when people ask I have at least one to show, but they are really intended to be used as a skinning/caping knife. I was really happy with how they did last season on breasting out the ducks. I have had people tell me they have skinned as much as one elk or 2 deer with a single blade, also had a few guys tell me they used 2 blades on one deer. I think it really depends on the user skill, but at about 41 cents/ blade what is your time worth to sharpen your fixed blades?

Check 'em out La, I havent sent one to Cajun country yet. Assa is the only one on here with one so far, and Olly will be getting his hands on the ones for the give away in a few days.

I want to take one to WY on my elk hunts this year. I'm waiting to win one first and then buy the other model/type.
What do you think shipping cost to send it to Rainier 97048?

Yesterday I sent the two to Olly for the give away and I used the small USPS flat rate box and it was just a few cents over 6 bucks (I think they charged about $.80 for delivery confirmation). I think for one knife I could get some small padded envelopes and it would probably be around 3 or so.

How about I run the free shipping til after Olly ends the give away since it sounds like a few are intersted, just waiting to be lucky?

Eh, I make a few bucks on these, but its not like I'm getting rich off them. From my experiences with them, once one knife makes it into a hunting party I usually sell a few more to the other members. I understand being skeptical of a disposable blade, especially over the internet, usually it takes first person experience.

Does cabelas carry your knives as well? Pretty damn sure I saw the blaze orange one in the knife case there yesterday.

I may have to give one a try. If I buy one I will order from you, but do any stores sell them or would a gunshow possibly have them? I have to actually handle a knife and make sure that I am comfortable with it before I purchase one. This is the only thing that has kept me from purchasing the Buck waterfowl knife. The only knife that I own that I didn't pick out is my Benchmade auto and that is because my wife bought it for me. Luckily the owner of the police supply store was a friend of mine and he kept showing me these knives every time I was in his store so he could figure out which one I was partial to and let her know.

Since we are on the topic of knives, check this knife sharpener out. http://www.v-sharp.com/ I was introduced to this sharpener while deer hunting in West Texas and had to have one. Little did I know that my boss had purchased each of us one for Christmas that year. My wife and I were so impressed with them that my wife became the local dealer for them for a while. She no longer sells them strictly because she doesn't have time to mess with them and because everyone we knew that would spend $100 on a knife sharpener had already bought one from her. I used one of these to sharpen my knife while cleaning deer, but she didn't like the fact that I was using "her" kitchen knife sharpener to sharpen my bloody hunting knives. Plus, I like to keep my knife sharp while cleaning and was constantly sending my son inside to sharpen one knife while I'm cleaning with the other. The knife 3 legs is selling would be ideal for me so all I have to do is change blades and keep going. This way I would actually have my son helping clean the deer instead of sharpening knives constantly. (I seriously have to have a razor sharp knife at all times.)

My Father was a butcher/meat cutter so I expect a sharp edge at all times. I also like the idea of switching out a blade in less than 2 seconds.
I will be getting at least one of these. The details of how, when and how many are the details I still need to work out.

Don't take me the wrong way, they are not "mine" as in my idea, I am only a dealer for Havalon.
To answer you and La's question: I have seen them in Cabela's and some of the Sportsman's Warehouse stores, but I think they only carry them in the blister packs to prevent theft. I'm sure other chain stores carry them as well.

Ah, gotcha. Just wondering.

I'll probably be getting one as soon as I take care of a few other things. While they are decently priced, I have several projects going that is costing my a pretty good bit. I've been spending money like its going out of style lately.I'd like to get some of these projects behind me before I spend anything else. My wife has her mind set on an outdoor kitchen, but I'll have one of these knives before I even start working on that.

Don't worry 3 legs, I'll order from you instead of Cabelas, but it might be a while before I do.
