Jehler did you heighten the transom on that boat your self? Can you step on those transom boxes like a step to get into boat or not sturdy enough?

yes and yes, the boat was a 15" transom originally. I bought that 3 cyl 25 hp long shaft used last summer and buoy the transom up to 21.5" an inch and a half over standard long shaft but with a bit of rake in the prop and properly loaded no cavitation and a bit better tip end and shallow water capability which is important for us bowfishing. The pods are tuff as hell, bolted on and sealed with a while tube of 5200, when I took em off the last boat jr could stand in them without bolts because of try caulk, very stout
