well I could be free to host if anyone wanted to come out. I'll just throw this out there so we have an option. No guarantee on limits but we'll drink good.

I'm open to what ever kinda hunt you guys want. I'll try to get a long weekend and head down on a Thursday or Friday.
I want to try and make it to both the hunts, so would be better if it is a different timeframe than the no coast hunt.
Did you guys ever figure on a general time frame yet?

I don't think so. You know how us free thinking, west coast, Jedi knights do things...we just fly by the seat of our pants.

But seriously I can try and plan for anything y'all want. However, I'll be off from mid December thru January. That time frame would be easiest for me to host.

Now if someone comes up with a better plan, say so. I'm just trying to get the ball rolling again

The problem down here is finding a spot to accommodate all the guys in our group. My buddy with the big pit blinds is not sure if he's hunting the same property's next year so that's in limbo. I'm still working on it though.

How many people do we really figure are going to show up? I don't need to go the guide route to make it fun.

My estimation is at least 7 guys. Unless we go to a refuge we will have to hunt a guides property they are the only ones with pits big enough to handle that many people. My buddy offers to let me use his blind last year. Not a guided hunt just to use his blind. The trouble is I don't know if he will still have it next season.

I've got access to private property and a couple public spots to easily accommodate that many people. We wouldn't all be able to hunt side by side. More than likely would have to split up into two, maybe three groups. But we could make it work.

I have a trailer that can sleep 5. 7 if two are willing to take the floor.

I can say we all won't shoot limits of green. But if the weathers right, that time of the year we hold a decent amount of birds. Geese too. And if someone was willing to bring a boat, that'd open up opportunities for us too.

278 round trip. Not even showing flights to humboldt. I don't know how to go about finding that. I know one thing, really sounds like a good time.

I could bring the rat, we'll just have to be careful not to sink it. Oh wait, I've also got a bigger boat too.

Ha! I just told the wife we are planning a hunt this season with "internet strangers" and she only said "sounds nice, make sure it doesn't interfere with anything here". What? That was easier than I thought. Maybe she wasn't actually listening, I'll test her and say we're going to the whore house too.

I spent an hour, or maybe four hours, there once years ago. Not the best, but it was ok if you snuck in your own booze.
