My father had something similar to that when I was a kid. I thought they called it a blackjack. When he hit someone with it, it was swung kinda like a pendulum. If he hit you on the side of the head, it would knock you out cold in one smack or, leave one helluva knot or both.
I thought it was filled with sand or lead at thethick ball end. It had a wrist strap so you couldn't drop it if shit got thick, so to speak.

I hate them bastards that have muzzle brakes on their lapuas! I bent over to pick up a piece of brass I dropped and I didn't have plugs or muffs in. The guy next to me had a savage .338 lapua and torched one off right as I was coming up. My head was 4 feet from the brake. I actually lost hearing in that one hear. Horrendous.
