Yup we could really make some money if we had a cheap way to get them down south. If its a 1448 or bigger they really go for a premium. Had to go down to the coast to get my 16 footer. Guy thought I was crazy coming 3 hours for it but after I handed him the 600 bucks for it I told him I could easily sell it for twice that.

Same here. I see all these guys who get great deals on jon boats, and it'll never happen here. I don't think I've ever seen one less than about $1,000. Hell, even a 20 year old 1232 will run about $500. Fucking nuts.

Yeah I totally scored on mine. That's why I have a hard time lettin go of it til I can get me an all welded boat.
Ill never find a deal that good. Even if i sold it boat and trailer for $1200 bucks I couldn't replace it. Mod v front and the bottom has zero dents or hooks. Weighs less than 300 lbs to boot.

The alumacraft boats at academy are cheaper then the tracker toppers at basspro.
I remember when there used to be a stack of 1436 jon boats outside of walmart every summer that were no more than 300 bucks a peice.

Not too often. Most are riveted ribs and welded at the chine.

My next boat will be welded. Probly not gona ever buy a gator trax or anything like that. i really like tritons 1542 all welded and the excel hd15db, also the weldbilt crawdad.If I can ever get a strong enough motor for this one it's gonna be hell though.

Idk if I would want that. Then it becomes a dedicated duck boat. It would suck to just go out and play around in. Wouldn't be too bad for fishing, just the whole boat would be a deck. I think I'd like to have two pods in the back and a rod box on each side if I ever got one.
