The boat feels a little more sketchy without it. But still feel like I should be hauling more ass unloaded than 23.
Already got a buyer on it for 650 though.

If you can get 650 for it, dump in fast as you can. Lot of decent motors out there for $650.

You could probably ship one down from jehler's territory for around that.

I had to pay $600 for a 77 15 horse three years ago and was pretty happy.

I could sell this beater rig for over $2,000 down here. On a rusted old tilt trailer with no fenders.

Yup we could really make some money if we had a cheap way to get them down south. If its a 1448 or bigger they really go for a premium. Had to go down to the coast to get my 16 footer. Guy thought I was crazy coming 3 hours for it but after I handed him the 600 bucks for it I told him I could easily sell it for twice that.

Same here. I see all these guys who get great deals on jon boats, and it'll never happen here. I don't think I've ever seen one less than about $1,000. Hell, even a 20 year old 1232 will run about $500. Fucking nuts.

I think you can get a new one a little cheaper than that, actually. Almost positive I've seen them for $399-$450.

Yeah I totally scored on mine. That's why I have a hard time lettin go of it til I can get me an all welded boat.
Ill never find a deal that good. Even if i sold it boat and trailer for $1200 bucks I couldn't replace it. Mod v front and the bottom has zero dents or hooks. Weighs less than 300 lbs to boot.

The alumacraft boats at academy are cheaper then the tracker toppers at basspro.
I remember when there used to be a stack of 1436 jon boats outside of walmart every summer that were no more than 300 bucks a peice.

Not too often. Most are riveted ribs and welded at the chine.

 Michigan is a bit closer for me.

I'd buy riveted for cheap, but if I'm investing real money, I want a welded boat.

A buddy of mine hunted out of a tunnel hull on the Mississippi this season. Couldn't believe the areas they got to in that thing. Something like that would be awesome!

Idk if I would want that. Then it becomes a dedicated duck boat. It would suck to just go out and play around in. Wouldn't be too bad for fishing, just the whole boat would be a deck. I think I'd like to have two pods in the back and a rod box on each side if I ever got one.
