Kurt, did you here about those scheming bastards in Colorado trying to patent the name "Nitro".
I think there a Michigan brewery trying to patent "Lupulin" as well, for naming.
Bootleggers! New Glarus says that they don't sell outside of their state. I wonder if someone is doing something fishy...

Also, beer is meant to be dramk out of glassware. To truly get all that the beer has to offer, pour into a clean glass. You can't pick up aromas in a bottle. Assuming your drinking for taste not quantity since this is a gmay beer thread.
I know I asked before but I can't remember what the name if your brewery is.
I've been drinking a beer from Michigan called two hearted ale lately. Love that shit. Had to give the guy at the liquor store a few free rounds of golf to butter him up to get him to order me some more.
I work for shorts brewing co, a Michigan only brewery. just our company policy to stay only in mi, sort if like how new Gladys is Wisconsin only.
Two hearted is from bells brewing, I like the two hearted IPA, next to Oberon, probably their biggest seller.
God damnit Brew, thanks for reminding me I'm out of Oberon! Apparently Nebraska is a PITA to import beer into, so Bells said fuck them. I've heard rumors that it can be found across the river in Iowa, but I've not yet gone on a hunt for it.

Instead I have to load up while up north, or go without.
TK, you should try some when you head to Lambeau. Probably not sold in the stadium, but one of the bars will have it.

Honestly I'm not a big fan on Oberon, they've changed it from the original recipe and isn't as good:( granted if its a hot day and the beer is really cold, sure it's great, but so is PBR and Hamms under those circumstances.

Rogue makes some dern good brew, yellow snow I think was my favorite from them! The only problem is they have very limited distribution here in MI

Has a more of a flower or fruit note. But not overwhelming. You taste the wheat more.

i'll have to try their other stuff, I just had the brown the other day on a recommendation. you ever had Kona? they have a special brown with coconut in it that is awesome.

Ive had the hell or high watermelon, wasnt thrilled with it, IIRC it tasted too much like fake watermelon. Same with Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, tastes like cough syrup.

Bummer man. Such a strange rule.

I've heard of lone star. Is it a Texas only beer? or could I get my hands on it elsewhere?
I can get it Indiana and Michigan.
I don't think I've seen it here, only heard people from TX talk about it. My problem is that all the hipster dipshits here demand PBR on the shelfs. Nothing wrong with PBR, but it has become such a fad to drink it that I go out of my way not to drink it.
The same thing happened with Rolling Rock about 25 years ago. Used to be a good, cheap beer. Then the precursors of hipsters, whatever they were called, decided that Rolling Rock was "the beer", and the price damn near doubled. I wouldn't drink that shit if you paid me to, anymore.

What almost all if these great beers have in common us that they are not made in America, especially from some Podunk "craft" brewery. American breweries always overdo something, be it too much spice or too much hops. They lack the subtlety that their European counterparts have. As far as drinkable lower quality beers go, Canada blows the US out of the water. Moosehead is $21 a case. I call it the poor man's Stella.
I like German Heffe. The wheat adds a distinct flavor and aroma. Belgian beers are fantastic, although Chimay is way too costly to drink daily. Hogaarden is my favorite summertime beer.
