Ron, where the fuck have you been?! There's a legitimate rape conversation going on in the BS thread and we need your guidance!

If nobody specifically wants to host it I think it'd be cool idea if we all met up and camped out and hunted somewhere. Maybe get some barbecue going and have duck camp for a few days, especially if we shoot for early season that could be a great time.
Just throwing out another idea.
We have been trying to figure out how to do a hunt in the Valley and trying to guess about the water situation. The problem with the Valley is how to get a group of guys out together. Breaking the group up and doing seperate smaller hunts is possible, but not as much fun as a group hunt.
Depending on where in the check you are, couldn't you set up layout blinds next to the pit?
I hunt a natural club and Boot hunts the rice. Not a lot of room on the check for layout blinds and I'm not sure if that is even allowed where boot hunts and I am limited on the number of guests I can bring.

Gotcha. I was wondering because I have seen it where the pits were set up on the two track road, not the check.

Hey, shhhhhh! I don't want people showing up around here all the sudden killing my ducks! Not that there are any to kill here anyways, unless you have a boat. Are you saying you haven't seen it where the pits are not on the narrow check, but on the wider road instead?

Nope not around here. I've seen big permanent checks and island blinds but never a pit in a road.
Look at this ass hole!

Hey Boot how many deeks do you use in the rice? Looks so different from anywhere I've ever hunted.

Haha! I don't know about awesome, but it is nice. A couple hours to the coast, a couple hours from big cities, and a couple hours from middle of nowhere. It not bad.
"The Fly Shop" is a hell of a business. Too pricey for me but they definitely have made a name for themselves.

I honestly don't know. I'm confused and need a hug. Will you hold me Joel?

This was the view from the south east corner of the blind last year. That was where I concentrated most of my spread.

I've thought about that and the only place possible to hunt this large of a group would be to camp out at the state line rv park and break up into smaller groups to shoot the LK refuge or Tule Sump. There are a couple zones that are walk-in only, but boats are still the way to go. Pending they dont do what they did last year, and not turn on the water.
