Was it a blind retrieve? Moose has needed to do exactly one 100+ yard retrieve, he chased a cripple across open water to the other shore but I know that on a 400 yard BLIND retrieve I'd have to get out of the blind.

Jarbo I gotta say good job if Taz can do that.

Here in corn country and areas of farm pasture fields can run the size of 20 acres to 600 acres, a dog that ranges far when you need it to helps saves you a lot of walking. I keep telling TK that we need to bring a range finder with us to range the dogs when they are chasing cripples down especially from a snow goose jump.

GKR's dog had a very long field retrieve this year I had a good view of. That was a 600 acre field we were in.

Wow wasn't trying to start a pissing match about what's right and wrong lol. If you want your dog to run 3 mile blinds good for you, if you want your dog to just fetch your beer there nothing wrong with that either. Whether you want a top flight retriever or just a hunting buddy what you do with your dog is your business and you shouldn't judge others on what they do with theirs. When it comes to training there is no right or wrong there is only what works for you. More than one way to skin a cat.. The only opinion of your dog that matters is yours. No reason to get our feathers ruffled, all that matters is you are happy with your dogs performance no matter what their skill level is.

Just busting chops. It's good that people feel strongly enough about it to argue- means they actually give a crap, which is becoming more and more rare these days, in anything. I like seeing it.

It is but seriously, we had a layover in hong kong and decided to tour the streets and maybe grab some food. I saw I guy skinning a golden retriever at a market. He also had a cage full of different breeds of dogs that if you wanted to buy one, he'd clean it for you. It was pretty sad.

I don't see what is wrong with eating a farm raised dog. No different than a cow. Assa, you ever try gaegogi soup while in Korea?

You see?? THIS is what a decent man does on a dog forum. It's a far cry from the ball less pussy crybaby dog forum mods on other forums.

Matt, I dont know you but I bet you have great dogs. More important, you have a great attitude.

You can hunt with me and my meat dog any day.

It is. And it's only served at special restaurants, who serve only that. You can't go into any restaurant and find it on the menu. I only went when taken out by the ROKs for dinner or something. Honestly, after about 3 bottles of soju, it really doesn't matter what you're eating, you're not gonna taste it anyway, good or bad.
